Experienced Maintenance Engineer required for a leading Food Manufacturer in Wisbech.
Key tasks and responsibilities with direct reference to food safety: To maintain and repair plant and equipment electrically and mechanically, working both hygienically and safely to enable production and quality targets to be attained. When working on plant and equipment in-situ, to take precautions such as screening, removal of product and cleaning down when work is completed so that maintenance or repairs are done without risk to food safety; physical contamination (nuts, bolts, swarf, plastic etc.), micro biological contamination (machine parts, tools used, working practices etc.) Chemical contamination (lubricants, cleaning chemicals and so forth). Advise the appropriate immediate production manager when repair or maintenance procedures have been completed to ensure that clean down and sanitising takes place and that any checks and records are made prior to production commencing. Advise the appropriate immediate production manager in the event of breakage, damage, loss of parts etc. that have or are liable to contaminate food, to ensure that food safety is controlled. Hours of work: - 12 hour shifts covering 4 nights on 4 nights off 6pm-6 am fixed shift Salary:- Up to £33,000pa |
