A Customer Facing technical operational support engineer is required by this leading telecoms service provider. The ideal candidate would have a strong technical bias to SDH and DWDM technologies as well as a good appreciation of IP on some of the associated protocols used whilst working for a telco/ISP company. The day to day duties of this role is to look after some of this companies top revenue accounts and be their sole point of contact to interface any post sales technical issues. It would be expected for you to take ownership of their faults and try to fix to a quick resolution keeping the customer up to date at all times. The role is highly technical and does require your own fault finding and troubleshooting skills together with the understanding of architecture and design formats to fix the faults. Other duties of this role involve relationship building, attending customer reviews, reporting on stats and process improvements. This role would be good for a senior operations engineer to step into more of a customer facing and service driven environment.
