Job Title: Warehouse Systems Team Manager
Job Description: Our Client is a major household name, the UK number one retailer and the worlds largest on-line grocer. Their distribution centre network is a mixture of ambient food, non food and composite and they are currently seeking a Warehouse Systems Team Manager to work on a Double Day Shift at their frozen and chilled distribution centre in the Scottish County of West Lothian.

Reporting into the Operations Support Manager , the successful candidate will be jointly managing a team of warehouse and admin staff to ensure that all paperwork and systems routines are consistently delivered, to maximise depot efficiency and contribute to delivering a first class service top our clients stores.

Key accountabilities will be to manage, maintain and co-ordinate the implementation of warehouse systems and admin procedures at the DC so that performance targets are consistently and cost effectively met.

You will also manage PI counts, identify trends and embrace change that will improve accuracy and actively manage stock management tasks to protect the integrity of stock and to maximise DC warehouse space.

You will play a vital part in the distribution centre operation in the achievement of balanced targets in the areas of people, operations, customers and finance. In addition you will ensure the processes are managed within our Client`s Health and Safety, Legal and Security policy framework.

Knowledge and Skills:

You will need to demonstrate the ability to translate our clients vision into how you and your team operate daily, as well as a hands on approach to succeed in a demanding environment.

This is a frontline role leading warehouse systems and admin staff and championing excellence, which requires warehouse systems experience and supervisory / management experience, ideally, though not essentially within a distribution or retail environment.

You should have a working knowledge of WMS / DC Systems and the impact such systems have on DC Operations. The ability to manage routines and systems discipline ensuring systems have integrity and security is paramount.

As an experienced leader of people you will have the proactive ability to challenge existing practices and drive through change to benefit the business.

Excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills coupled with influencing skills and teamwork, will already have ensured your success as a supervisor or manager.

Experience of having worked in a trade union environment would be an advantage.

You will work any five from seven days on a Double Day Shift.

The salary range is £29 - 34k pa. The successful candidates starting salary will be determined by the candidates skill set and experience. In addition there is a range of excellent benefits and overtime is payable under some circumstances.
