Job Title: Nightshift Warehouse Team Manager
Job Description: Our Client is a major household name, the UK number one retailer and the worlds largest on-line grocer. Their distribution centre network is a mixture of ambient food, non food and composite and they are currently seeking a Nightshift Warehouse Team Manager at their frozen and chilled distribution centre in the Scottish County of West Lothian.

Reporting into the Nightshift Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will be jointly managing a team of nightshift warehouse and support staff ensuring that the right products reach the shelves on time, every time.

You will actively manage key warehouse processes e.g. Goods In, Goods Out, Assembly so that performance targets are consistently and cost effectively met.

You will ensure all operational deadlines within assembly are met at all times and are in line with DOT targets. You will ensure system enhancements are put to appropriate use and Labmon is managed effectively.


In addition you will ensure all rollover stock on the Denver system is managed effectively
and all inventory management processes are carried out in line with agreed routines.

You will ensure accurate stock results are achieved in assembly operation and that all targets on damages are met.

You will ensure all product moves are actioned to agreed timescales and communicated effectively and that quality standards are met in all areas.

Aided by state of the art technology and the latest industry methods, you will play a vital part in the distribution centre operation in the achievement of balanced targets in the areas of people, operations, customers and finance.

Finally you will ensure the processes are managed within our Clients Health and Safety, Legal and Security policy framework.

Knowledge and Skills:

You will need to demonstrate the ability to translate our Clients vision into how you and your nightshift team operate daily, as well as a hands on approach to succeed in a demanding environment.

This is a frontline role leading nightshift warehouse staff and championing excellence, which requires warehouse management experience, ideally, though not essentially within a distribution or retail environment.

As an experienced leader of people you will have the proactive ability to challenge existing practices and drive through change to benefit the business.

Excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills coupled with influencing skills and teamwork, will already have ensured your success as a supervisor or manager.

Experience of having worked in a trade union environment would be an advantage.

You will work any five from seven nights on rota hours of 10pm - 6am.

The salary range is £27,200- 34,000 pa. The successful candidates starting salary will be determined by the candidates skill set and experience. In addition there is a range of excellent benefits and overtime is payable under some circumstances.
