Circa £30,000 + Benefits This is an amazing opportunity to join a market leading food manufacturing site. The company manufactures and produces all manner of fresh produce for their retail outlets. They are now recruiting for an assistant department manager to drive forward the operation in terms of delivering against production targets, cost restraints, and staff development. Already with an extensive background of food production in a busy and fast paced environment the right candidate will report to the deputy general manager and will have the ability to make their own decisions within the workplace and will carry overall responsibility for all areas from goods in, processing, packing, to despatch whilst on shift. You will have particularly strong man management techniques as this site is very labour intensive you will need to motivate, mentor and lead the team to get the best out of them. Also you will need to drive the cultural aspect of team values, fresh thinking, and achieving KPI's through people. You will also have an extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
